Does Ethical Hacking Requires Certifications ?

So today's questions is Does Ethical Hacking Requires Certifications ? I would say YES. There is no doubt that you cannot become a hacker without certificates, you definetly can. But you will end up becoming a Black Hat Hacker. Without certificates no one will trust you hence you will be targetting sources of your own without any permission. So, any type of harm done without permission is something we called as negative thing.


Certificates are nothing but just the proof that, Yes he is a certified person whether you have knowledge and skills or not. It will create trust that this person can do something however foolish you might be. It will hel you to get job. Companies do look for Certificates along with your knowledge and skills. So its better to have them so that you should not face any problem in future.


Many of you think certificates aren't important. In this article I have given a detaild instructions why certificate's are important. Who need them and why. Who need's Certificate and Why ?

Hacking Requires Certificates ?

Some of the General Question we all have is :-

• Do you need degree's and certificate's for becoming an Ethical Hacker ? 

• Can we not learn it from Google ?


Well, many of you will have doubt and most probably you think you don't need them. But in my opinion certificate's are important and also at the same time they are not important too.


If your dream is to become a successful Ethical Hacker in future and want to get a good placement in a company then certificate's are important for you. I have discussed about the Certificates here. Without degree's and certificate's it's very difficult to get job in a good company. 


If everyone could learn from Google then all would become either doctor or engineer. There would be no need of schools and educational institutes  all over the world as everyone has access to Internet and Google. Everyone would get a job in good company by learning from Google. 


Also, as you know companie's hire intelligent students to their companies with good placement and package. So, certificates are important to get a good job. 


For example suppose there are two students. One have learnt Ethical Hacking from Google and other has completed his course from college and he have degree's like MCA, CEH, RedHat, CISCO. A company releases vacancy for Ethical Hacker and Cyber Security Expert and both applies for the job.


The first important thing is the resume. The one who have learn't from Google, he will write that he is an Ethical Hacker and Cyber Security Expert while the other one will have its certifications details education details on his resume. 


As there are very limited jobs, the HR of the company will give priority to the one who have certifications even if he has less knowledge and skills compared to the person who have learn't it from Google. 


So if you want to have a secure future then certificate's and degree's are important.

Disadvantage's by Learning from Google

• You will only learn the topics of your intrest which you can understand


• You will ignore the topics which goes over your head as there are no boundation. No one will pressurise you for learning them. You dont have faculty to explain them.  


For example if you are learning C programming and there is chapter named Pointer's. It's little complicated so if u don't understand this at first look you will skip it and move ahead. Doing this you will miss many more important topics which are associated with that topic.


Same thing if you are learning from college you have to study it. You have invested in college and there are faculty to expalin. You will also get a better understanding on all the topics. You will have a fear, if you wont study you will fail. You can discuss problem with your batchmates and solve them. You will be focused and will try to learn difficult topic with ease.


This is not applicable if you are learning from google. You are free here. You can do anything of your choice.

Last thing to Remember

So, certifications are important for your secure future. You must only take help from Google and must develop skills by your self. Be self independent as you can't have Google' access at every place. 


Suppose in an interview the interviewer asked you a question which is not of your interest and you have skipped learning it from google, what would you do? Would you tell that, "Sir, I know but right know I can't answer it" as you dont have access to google. So be self dependent, learn everything with hardwork only then you would become a successful person.
