If you aren't finding how to progess then this is the article which will help you out. In this article I have mentioned courses and degree needed to become an Ethical Hacker. What things need to be learnt to become an professional Ethical Hacker. 


Most of the young students start searching for how to becom an Ethical Hacker. I want to say that first you complete your high school with Mathematics if possible. 


If you know mathematics things would be pretty easy. Its not necessary you may opt for any subject which you like but going with mathematics makes Ethical Hacking progress Easy.


Benefits of Mathematics - You get better at learning complicated things.You grow up your logical thinking. You develop confidence in your ability.You develop your problem solving skills.


So first you should complete your high school education and learn all basic fundamentals from starting. Build a strong base because as you know if you dont have a strong base your house wont last for longer period.


For example if you want to right a novel in English then you must have a brief knowledge about English, Grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction , Noun, Pronoun etc. then only you can write your articles for novels.


Now you might think you have Google for translating, but sometimes google just does opposite things you want, things might get worst for which you will regret afterwards. 


Therefore, it's my humble request that only take possible help from google. You can find anything on Google it's true but this will favour you only if you have a strong base.

How to become an Ethical Hacker ?

So let us first know Who is an Ethical Hacker ? Ethical Hacker is a Computer Security Expert, also an Expert in Pentesting methodologies and other methodologies, who protects a system from any kind of vulnerablities. 


Whatever they do is under restrictions because they are White Hat Hackers and they have to everything under permission and which is not against Cybercrime. So if u want to become an Ethical Hacker your have know your limitations. 

1. Learn Computer Basics

First you need to learn everything about fundamentals of basic computer which you can learn from any computer science diploma degree. Various types of Government, Private Institutes and Colleges where you can learn and get the computer science diploma degree.

Computer Science Courses

1. BCA

2. B.SC

3. B.TECH

4. BE


After class xii get yourself admitted in a good college in Bachelor degree which will be useful.


If you have paased these stages and you dont have time then you should go for below courses.

2. PGDCA

3. "O" LEVEL

2. Networking

For becoming an Expert Ethical Hacker I will recommend you CISCO. Crack CISCO exams like CCNA, CCNP. There are various institutions in India where you can learn these courses. 


Once you successful in cracking these exams you will have good knowledge about Networking. You will be a certified Networking expert which you will get from CISCO.

3. Learn Windows Administration

You must have a good knowledge about Operating Systems. For this Microsoft runs Certification Programs. 


You must attend these exams and try to crack them. Certain Exams offered are MTA, MCSA, MCSE. You will be certified after clearing these exams.

4. Learn Linux

Like Microsoft and CISCO for Linux learning I will suggest you REDHAT.  You will have a good hand on Linux. How to install it, how to command , Linux Administration and many more information about Linux. Crack exams of redhat like RHCE or RHCSA then you will become a  Redhat certified Linux engineer.


The purpose is not collect degree's but to gain knowledge. If you don't become an Ethical Hacker then with these certificates you will have a good job with good placements.

5. Learn Programming

You will start learning these in your school. After you enrolled in college you will have a good hand on programming. 


I would suggest you to go for Master's Degree after Bachelor's Degree. After this you will become a good software engineer. 


Books and Internet are good sources to learn. Try to grasp a good knowlede about programming languages as many institute don't provide a good tutorial on them. 


Learn them from Internet.

6. Learn Ethical Hacking

Go for CEH certifiacte. For this I will recommend you EC- COUNCIL. Courses keeps changing as you know hackers always try to get one step ahead of you. So to overcome them it provides useful courses. After this you will become a certified Ethical Hacker. 


But Hacker's don't have any institute you have to develop those skills like a Hacker only then you can be an Ethical Hacking expert.


No institute will teach you the process behind hacking. How to enter into Computer Networks. You will have learn these by yourself. Start practising on your personal targets. Knowledge is of no use unless you put them into practise.


You might have heard that "There is no palce like 127.0.0.1".  It's the IP address of your self computer and like you have address of your home where you can do anything ths same goes with 127.0.0.1. So whatever you do there no one will do objection.


Learn about Cyber Crime from Internet.

7. Learn Professional Ethical Hacking

After completing all above mentioned course start learning Network Penetration Testing with Kali Linux and Metasploit. Join OFFENSIVE certificate courses.

Last thing to Remember 

So if you follow these instructions and work hard then you will become an successful Ethical Hacker. Focus on Ethical Hacking. Do regular practises and work hard. Keep yourself upgraded with latest technology softwares. 


Certification courses are only to get job in good company. Hacking requires knowledge and skills and to be honest I must say it has got nothing to do with certification but its important to carry them.



If you follow these steps you will become a successful and Ethical Hacking Expert.
